Plasma Filtration Inside The Body

Transvivo's SCIPTM System was acclaimed as a "revolutionary" new development in therapeutic apheresis during the 2004 Joint Meeting of the World and American Societies for Apheresis. Clinical trials have begun with the plasmapheresis catheter which continuously filters blood inside the body for a hemodynamically-stable therapeutic alternative to intermittent blood purification therapies such as plasma exchange, dialysis or artificial organ support. Transvivo received FDA approval in 2004 to begin clinical investigation in Congestive Heart Failure patients.
